Spent this past few days doing last minute preparations for the winter and the holidays. The gift shopping list is all done thanks. My fall cleanup is now a complete task having cleared the roof gutters with those pesky (helicopter?) maple leaves. Luckily, mother nature gave us a break here in this Eastern part of the country where we have been experiencing some balmy days the past two weeks. Today, it is a mild 54 degrees unusual at this time of the year.
Yesterday, the Denver, Colorado area was socked with it's first snow storm. Blizzard conditions were reported. They had about 2 feet of snow and the Denver International airport had to be shut down. Check out CNN's news account. Brrrrr... nothing of that sort yet here. Tonight will be the start of the winter season here. So, will we be having a white christmas? We shall see. Happy holidays everyone!

Winter is the time of year I enjoy the least when in New York. But the blizzards could be fun in Manhattan, though :)
Wishing you and your loved ones the best this holiday season!
eric hi! i do get to use lower thermals right smack November when temps dip in the low 40's. So added insulation gets me going outside. Blizzard is fun alright. You get to jaywalk the streets of NYC in a nonchalant manner.
Happy Holidays senor enrique!
joe, hello
merry christmas to you and yours!
mrs. p, hi
likewise and may you and the family have a prosperous new year!
Hi, Joe! It's early Feb in Baguio and the temperature dipped to 9 degrees celsius a few days ago! Of course, living in Poughkeepsie you wouldn't be missing the cold "to the bones" Baguio weather.
I just dropped by to say Hi, and to tell you that I finally have a working WordPress blog. There's a post about The "Baguio" I Miss that you may want to check out (and maybe add some thoughts to) at Baguio Insider, the Go baguio! blog.
See ya around!
Hi Lisa! Am still on a hiatus with this blog of mine. But it's so nice to hear from my mentor. Yup, it's winter here lately and with the wind chill factor brrr.....r. Thanks to my silk thermals it helps keep out the cold in me. Been reading too about your cold temps there thru the Yahoo Baguio Web International group. Hope to see you posting some opined messages there soon. You'll surely get the drift of some ex-Baguio born a & bred folks from here.
I did write some comments of how i miss old baguio. That is just the first installment. Hope to see your new Wordpress blog going forward. Again, i am truly sorry for the intrusion this morning. C'ya around! Your blogger friend.
Hi Joe, decided to check if you have emerged from hibernation and I see that you haven't! Has spring not arrived yet?
By the way, you may enjoy entries in my other blogs -- there have been some changes:
www.chuvatech.com - is now the Make Money blog
www.i-baguio.com - is now the Baguio Insider Blog to complement Go Baguio!
Hope to see you soon!
Hi Lisa,
Nope, have not emerged from my hibernation though I have been a faithful blog reader of my favorites including your several sites. Keep it up! Love to see that a couple of them won the Phil. Blog Awards (Eric's & Ivan's) and judged no less than your friend Connie V.. Who knows...someday we might all EB in Mla. or Baguio. Enjoyed reading HOLD,CFC & GK. Meantime, let me swing those rusty golf clubs of mine. Take care & regards. joe
